Ear Force X42 Headset Review | Turtle Beach Headset PS3
Turtle Beach Ear Force X42 PS3 – Headset Features
LOOKS- Just one of the coolest features of the turtle beach headset ps3 is the change for them. I am a huge fan of this black and green color scheme of this headset. The black conceals any dirty fingerprints from little ones, or from the night time snack that you just ate while gaming. Plus, the headset has a cool green “ON” light to match the color scheme. The transmitter is tiny and easily tucks away, however I do miss the tower that was included with the X41s, mainly because it possessed a spot to hang the headset on when not in use. I now store the headset on top of my Xbox.
SOUND- The sound on this headset is a little dissimilar to my previous model. It doesn’t seem as loud. That might be caused by the more pinpointed accuracy of the sound. The bonus side is the fact sudden noises don’t surprise me near as badly as before. The chat boost is really a cool feature too. It automatically increases the chat volume as the game sound increases, to enable you to always hear those who that you’re talking to. You can also adjust settings for the angles for the multi channel audio as well as the boost bass and treble settings to personalize the sound for your own personal gaming experience.
COMFORT- The Turtle Beach padding in the past models has been a factor I was disappointed with. This newer turtle beach headset xbox 360 incorporated a higher quality mesh all around the ear pieces. This mesh isn’t as prone to making you sweat all over the cushions and in addition doesn’t feel nearly as harsh. The head-piece is adjustable and possesses an even more cushioned top that rests onto your head. I’m certainly impressed in the fit of this headset in particular. I’m certainly used to gaming gear being large on my little head, although the X42s fit securely and comfortably. This is a definite improvement over the X41s.
BATTERY- This is a shock in my opinion. The battery life with this headset, although still not ideal, has improved drastically. Using the brand batteries that it came with, I was allowed to play 4 successive nights of 4-5 hr game sessions before replacing the batteries. Considerably better in comparison to the 2-3 nights I managed to get on previous models. Also, now there is a warning beep to tell you that you’re battery life is running low.
My Conclusion on the latest version of the Turtle Beach Ear Force X42 Gaming Headset is one of satisfaction with the improvement in performance and appearance and I think that it is well worth the small amount of money required for this quality headset that you can purchase from Amazon.com and as an added bonus you could qualify for Free Shipping.
